On October 5, 2023, the National Medical Commission (NMC) unveiled its first publication titled, "Professional Conduct Review - Lessons from Case Archives" by the Ethics and Medical Registration Board (EMRB). It is a compilation of case studies related to medical ethics and negligence involving registered medical practitioners (RMPs) and their patients.

The E-book comprises of comprehensive summaries of case studies adjudicated by seasoned professionals in their respective domain, in-depth discussions and analysis of the ethical and legal issues involved, the decision of the State Medical Council (SMC) or the Ethics and Medical Registration Board (EMRB) of NMC, and key takeaways for RMPs.

The E-book educates and sensitizes RMPs about the ethical principles and professional conduct expected from them, as well as the consequences of violating them. Further, it aims to enhance awareness, mitigate professional errors, and safeguard patients from potential ethical lapses. Therefore, this e-book is a valuable resource for both RMPs as well as patients.
